Development Services Web Application Development

Development Services Web Application Development

Custom web applications built for real workflows — not adapted from a template or bolted together from SaaS tools that almost do what you need. Designed precisely. Engineered to scale.

What This Service Covers Custom web applications built around your business logic

We build web applications where off-the-shelf software doesn’t fit — SaaS platforms, client-facing portals, internal operations tools, booking and reservation systems, and data dashboards. Every application is designed around your actual user workflows and engineered with authentication, permissions, API integrations, and deployment infrastructure included from the start — not added as afterthoughts.

01
Frontend

React & Next.js Frontend Development

We build web application frontends with React and Next.js — component architecture designed for maintainability, state management scoped to actual requirements, and server components used where they reduce client-side payload without sacrificing interactivity. TypeScript throughout, with strict typing enforced from day one.

UI is built on a custom design system — not a generic component library dropped in and lightly customised. Every interaction state, loading state, and error state is designed and implemented deliberately.

Backend & Database

Backend Architecture & Database Design

We build backend systems in Node.js, Next.js API routes, or dedicated server frameworks depending on your application’s requirements. Database design — schema, indexes, query patterns, and migration strategy — is treated as a first-class engineering concern, not something figured out during development.

We work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, and managed database services. For applications with real-time requirements, we integrate WebSocket or Server-Sent Event layers where polling would be insufficient.

02
03
Auth & Permissions

Authentication, Authorisation & Role-Based Access

Every web application needs a security model — and the one that ships is the one designed at the start. We implement authentication via NextAuth.js, Auth0, Clerk, or custom JWT flows depending on your requirements. Role-based access control is defined in the data model and enforced at both the API and UI layer — not just hidden behind a conditional render on the frontend.

Multi-tenant applications, organisation-level permissions, and team management flows are common scope in the applications we build.

Deployment & Infrastructure

Deployment, Hosting & Scalability

We configure production infrastructure as part of every web application build — Vercel or AWS for frontend deployment, managed database provisioning, environment variable management, CI/CD pipeline setup, and staging environment configuration. Applications are deployed from the first development sprint, not assembled on a server the week before launch.

We document the infrastructure so your team can manage it independently, and configure monitoring and alerting so you know about problems before your users do.

04

Our Approach Architecture decisions made before development starts — not during it

The most expensive mistakes in web application development happen in the first two weeks — wrong data model, missing permission layer, authentication bolted on after the fact, no strategy for real-time updates. We spend a full discovery phase making these decisions explicitly, documented in a technical specification that the entire team works from.

Discovery produces a data model, API contract, user role matrix, integration map, and deployment plan. Development then executes against a clear spec — which means fewer surprises, more accurate timelines, and a codebase that reflects deliberate decisions rather than accumulated workarounds.

Web application types we build regularly

Common application categories we’ve scoped and delivered — use these as reference points for your own requirements.

SaaS Platforms

Multi-tenant SaaS products with organisation management, subscription billing, role-based access, usage metering, and the admin tooling needed to operate the platform — built to launch and scale.

Client & Customer Portals

Authenticated portals giving your clients or customers access to their data, documents, orders, bookings, or account settings — integrated with your backend systems and branded to your identity.

Internal Operations Tools

Admin dashboards, workflow automation tools, inventory management interfaces, and reporting applications built specifically for your team’s processes — not generic tools adapted badly to your workflow.

Booking & Reservation Systems

Availability calendars, reservation flows, pricing engines, and booking management dashboards — for hospitality, rentals, services, and event-based businesses with complex scheduling requirements.

Data Dashboards & Reporting

Custom analytics dashboards aggregating data from multiple sources — visualised clearly, exportable, and built on a data pipeline that stays accurate as your business grows.

API Integrations & Automation

Need the integration layer that connects your web application to third-party platforms? That’s a complementary service with its own methodology.

Built to hand over — not to depend on us forever

  • Strict Typing — Full codebase execution running within pure enterprise TypeScript layers
  • Enforced RBAC — Permissions written directly into security structures, avoiding visual shortcuts
  • Continuous Delivery — Fully automated pipelines continuously serving deployment clusters
  • Clear Documentation — Comprehensive runtime spec architectures delivered at handover phase

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about web application development projects.

A focused MVP web application — core user journey, authentication, essential integrations — typically takes 10–16 weeks from discovery to production deployment. A full-scale platform with multiple user roles, complex business logic, and extensive integrations takes 20–36 weeks. Timeline is driven by feature scope, not technology. We provide a detailed estimate after the discovery phase.

Yes. We handle UI/UX design and development as a single engagement — user flows, wireframes, component design, and a design system in Figma before development begins. If you’re coming with existing Figma designs, we review them for technical feasibility and completeness before committing to a development timeline.

That’s actively encouraged. We write code and documentation with the explicit goal of making it easy for another developer to pick up. Handover includes codebase walkthrough, architecture documentation, environment setup guide, and a Q&A session. We also offer post-handover support retainers if your team wants a safety net during the transition.

Data handling requirements are scoped in discovery — what personal data the application collects, where it’s stored, how long it’s retained, and what deletion and export flows are needed. We implement the technical requirements for GDPR compliance (data portability, deletion, consent logging) as part of the build. Legal compliance advice is outside our scope but we can refer you to specialists.

Yes. We take on existing web application codebases for feature development, refactoring, and performance work — provided the codebase is in a workable state. We conduct a technical audit before committing to scope, so both parties understand what the work involves and what technical debt needs to be addressed alongside new feature development.

For most Next.js web applications, Vercel for frontend deployment combined with a managed PostgreSQL database (Supabase, Neon, or PlanetScale depending on requirements) is our standard recommendation. For applications with more complex infrastructure requirements — dedicated compute, specific data residency, or high-volume background processing — we scope AWS or GCP architecture as part of the discovery phase.
